oh what a night!

OK, enough with the Frankie Valli / Jersey Boys reference... I doubt, however, that I'll ever forget the evening of Thursday 24 May 2012 anytime, let alone anytime soon. AP Bond's new gallery was packed to capacity for the opening of three solo exhibitions: Peter Drew's 'All you need is like', Eileen Lubiana's 'Twilight', and '(ur)banality' by yours truly.

It was as if the place had been flash-mobbed, with some 300 people coming through the doors in less than two hours! Barely had I greeted a friend, colleague or family member when another would arrive. And to be approached by complete strangers wanting to know more about an image, or congratulate me, was a truly wonderful experience that I wasn't quite expecting (what I was expecting was to have a few drinks and say a few "g'days"!)

It really was an outstanding evening. Thanks to everyone who came along, and those who helped it be such a successful night...
