If the weather is fine, many Australians choose to mark the New Year public holiday relaxing (and recovering!) at a beach. Unlike last year, however (see image below), it's quite overcast and cool here in Adelaide today—perfect for me to consider my work-plans for 2014.
My first exhibition for the year, About time, will be shown as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival at the Adelaide Arcade from mid-February to mid-March. I've written some brief thoughts about imagesshot in June 2013 in New Caledonia. I can't wait to see these images suspended inside the Arcade!
Meanwhile, I continue to work on a series of close-up images of one of my favourite genera of plants, Paeonia—more specifically, their sexual organs and the various structures that support them...their flowers. Here's a sneak-preview:
